Join us for a 45-minute webinar exploring the 'Arts on Prescription: A Field Guide for US Communities.' This guide, a collaboration between the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine, Mass Cultural Council, and Dr. Tasha Golden, provides a roadmap for integrating arts, culture, and nature into local health and social care systems. This webinar is intended for community-based arts and cultural organizations, health- and social care providers, and anyone interested in improving health and wellness by leveraging arts and cultural assets in their communities. No previous experience necessary!
Discover how arts on prescription programs enable healthcare providers and social service agencies to 'prescribe' arts activities, cultural experiences, and nature exposure to support patients' and clients' health, wellbeing, and quality of life. Connect with a diverse network—established professionals and newcomers alike—with an interest in the area of arts on prescription.
Lead author Dr. Tasha Golden will offer an overview of the resource. Dr. Alan Siegle, Medical Director at Social Prescribing USA, will moderate a discussion with panelists from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, CultureRx, and Project Jericho sharing practical examples, strategies, and resources for implementing arts on prescription programs. - Links
