Theatre Connect: Yasss! | Thursdays Evenings

Please use the form below to register for FREE to join Theatre Connect: Yasss! A theatre troupe for queer young adults. This form should only be completed by folx who are at least 18 - 25(ish). While this theatre troupe is primarily for college-aged young adults, you do not need to be actively enrolled in college courses to participate. We will resume rehearsals in the Spring semester/season after the Winter holiday break. You can register and start attending rehearsals with us at any time during the season but we do ask that you attend weekly as much as possible to secure your spot on any optional performances we might put on throughout the season and during our annual showcase. You can sign-up at the door but we prefer registration ahead of time!

Who Can Participate

Theatre Connect welcomes young adults from the LGBTQIA+ community, 18 - 25(ish), in North Central Florida to join our cast. While we don’t have a set age limit, we encourage you to make space for young queer adults who may be younger or newer to our community. As our troupe grows, we plan to offer an all-ages/inter-generational queer troupe in the future! No previous theatre experience is required, all abilities are welcome.

Participants from Alachua county and prior Theatre Connect participants have priority, otherwise, the cast list will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration information is private and only visible to Theatre Connect staff. Please register early to avoid the waitlist.

Attendance

Weekly attendance is preferred outside of illness or emergencies. We cannot allow participants to join the troupe without online registration and signed waivers.
