Biography

Emily holds a PhD in musicology and an MM in flute performance from University of Florida, and completed her undergraduate studies at University of Southern California. Emily's research interests include 20th-century Polish music, particularly the music of Krzysztof Penderecki. Her work has received reserach grants and fellowships from the University of Florida Center for European Studies, the University of Illinois Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center, and the University of Florida Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere.

As a flutist, Emily continues to actively teach and perform throughout Gainesville and North Central Florida.
