Biography

Susan Schuld has been acting and vocal coaching nationally for over 20 years. Faculties have included:  University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Virginia Commonwealth University, Northern Iowa University, Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts BFA program, NYU Tisch CAP 21, Circle in the Square Theatre School, Penny Templeton Acting Studio, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Professional Performing Arts High School in Manhattan, and served as the Director in Residence at Shakespeare’s Globe, London for Mason Gross School of the Arts in 2003. Additional workshops and training institutions: LAByrinth Theater Company, NYC;  Childsplay Inc. Tempe, Arizona; Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Cold Spring, NY. Founding member, actor, and teacher of Theatre Lila.  Regional acting and vocal coaching credits include:  Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, American Players Theatre, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Mile Square Theater, Henley Street/Richmond Shakespeare, Amphibian Productions, Colonial Theater, and Childsplay, AZ. Additional Research includes working as an affiliate faculty member with the MCV International Dentist Program, teaching accent empowerment workshops to foreign born doctors, conducting interdisciplinary voice workshops in the Middle East, and 2014-15 TedXRVA Speaker Coaching.
