The pre-college solo piano competition is open to students, ages 15-18, regardless of UFIPF division. Students not participating in UFIPF are also welcome to apply to the competition. Previous First-Place winners are not eligible to apply.

• Submit online application and recording (email Youtube link to Jasmin Arakawa) by April 16.
• Repertoire shall include at least two contrasting works, one of which being a fast movement of Beethoven, Haydn or Mozart. Repertoire for the preliminary recording and final performance shall be the same.
• Finalists, selected by a screening committee, will be announced no later than May 1, 2018. Finalists will perform for UFIPF faculty judges at the University of Florida School of Music, June 16, 2018. 
• Winners will perform Saturday afternoon, June 16.
• First Prize: $500; Honorable Mention(two): $250
