Public performances, clinics, masterclasses, competitions, and exhibitor events will take place on Saturday and Sunday, February, 8th & 9th.
Participants and Artists will gather for rehearsals on the evening of Friday, February 7th and the University of Florida Faculty Brass Quintet will present an Opening Concert. Scheduling Details will continue to be announced updated on this website.
The University of Florida International Brass Festival is a presentation of events for brass musicians and listeners of all ages and ability levels that will take place on campus at the University of Florida and in the community of Gainesville, Florida. The UFIBF assembles artists and faculty with international reputations and performance experience for a weekend of clinics, master classes, competitions, recitals, and great music-making.
In the past, exhibitors have included Buffet Crampon, Sheridan Brass, Hoggtowne Music (Featuring Yamaha and Conn/Selmer), Edwards Musical Instruments, the Brass Band of Central Florida, and Beethoven and Company.
The University of Florida School of Music is an All-Steinway School residing within one of the top-ranked public universities in the United States. Participants will experience first-rate instruments as well as excellent practice and performance spaces within the beautiful UF campus. Housing will be available both off-campus at our host hotel and on-campus at conference housing, offering convenient walking access to all activities. Gainesville is located in the north-central part of Florida, with nearby access to the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, and the major cities of Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
