Theatre Performance
Discipline. Presence. Passion. This is performance.
The Theatre Performance program at the University of Florida offers intensive, conservatory-style training within a dynamic academic environment. Here, you’ll develop the physical, vocal, and emotional tools of a performer while building the confidence, discipline, and adaptability to thrive in a competitive industry.
Students engage deeply with acting technique, movement, voice, and character work, supported by faculty mentors who bring professional experience in theatre, film, and television. In small class settings and through realized productions, you’ll explore a wide range of roles and performance styles—from classical to contemporary, musical to experimental.
Theatre Performance at UF offers:
- Hands-on training in acting, voice, and movement
- Courses in auditioning, acting for the camera, dialects, and stage combat
- A collaborative environment that values artistic risk and creative ownership
- Expert faculty committed to individualized coaching and mentorship
- Opportunities to perform and grow in a diverse, inclusive setting
Whether your goal is to command the stage or bring characters to life on screen, Theatre Performance at UF equips you with the technique, insight, and presence to tell powerful stories—and to build a meaningful career doing it.
