Printmaking at UF blends history, material exploration and creative research. You’ll develop technical expertise in a range of processes while investigating the conceptual and cultural frameworks that make this medium unique. Whether you’re working in lithography, screen printing or experimental formats, you’ll discover how repetition and variation become tools for deeper expression.
No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to engage with process, practice and invention. As an undergraduate printmaking student, you’ll explore the purpose, function and aesthetics of printed media within both contemporary and historical contexts.

The MFA in Printmaking is a flexible, rigorous program designed to advance your artistic thinking, studio skills and professional goals. You’ll receive individualized mentorship, participate in weekly workshops and critiques and collaborate across media and disciplines.

You’ll also gain professional experience through Alagarto Press, our international visiting artist print project, and the student-run Alagarto Printmaking Guild, which supports exhibitions, travel and national conference participation.
