Drawing at UF is rooted in exploration, expression and the power of mark-making. Students develop a studio practice informed by ideas and observation—where drawing becomes both a mode of inquiry and a deeply personal visual language.
Through a wide range of techniques, materials and conceptual approaches, you’ll create work that is bold, experimental and uniquely your own.
As an undergraduate drawing student, you’ll develop your personal vision through a thoughtful, skill-building progression of studio courses. The program begins with foundational studies and moves into advanced techniques, conceptual development and a dedicated senior year studio experience.

As a graduate student in drawing, you’ll develop a focused studio practice shaped by research, experimentation and critical dialogue. The MFA program fosters conceptual, aesthetic and technical growth, helping you refine your ideas and strengthen your voice as an artist.
