Drop-in Advising

The School of Art + Art History’s undergraduate advisors host a series of open student drop-in hours each week.

  • There are no appointments; advising is offered only during virtual drop-in hours. If you find the hours consistently don’t align with your schedule, please email SAAHAdvising@arts.ufl.edu to explore options.
  • These drop-in hours are for current UF undergraduate students only.
Prospective students should email SAAHadmissions@arts.ufl.edu with their inquiries.

How to Sign In for Undergraduate Advising  Drop-in Hours

All students (whether in-person or Zoom) must sign in to the Advising lobby by clicking the button below:

Advising Lobby Sign-in
  • The lobby sign-in system opens approximately 30 minutes before the designated drop-in advising hours begin and closes about 20 minutes before the end of advising hours. During the busiest times of year, the lobby may have to close early (if an abundance of students are already in the queue).
  • The queue and estimated wait times are not always accurate.
  • We may be able to see students earlier than expected, so sign in as soon as you’re able.

To Join the Advising Zoom Meeting

Please note this is a two-step process:

STEP 1:

Ensure you have already signed into the Advising Lobby Sign-In, to join the queue and track your place in line.

STEP 2:

Sign in to the SA+AH Advising Zoom Meeting and wait in the Zoom “waiting room” until you are admitted.

This step is separate from the Advising Lobby system—be sure to complete both steps.

SA+AH Advising Zoom Meeting
  • Heads Up: Expect a Wait. Wait times can be significant, especially during pre-registration for the upcoming term. At peak times, waits can reach up to an hour or more.
  • Delays in signing into Zoom may delay your meeting. Advisors will meet with students one-on-one in the order they sign into the Advising Lobby.
  • We understand the wait can be frustrating, but it’s consistent with advising delays across campus during the busy pre-registration advising seasons.
  • Tip: Morning hours generally have shorter wait times than afternoons.

Questions about this process? Unable to make it to any of the drop-in hours or having trouble signing in? Please email the undergraduate advising team at SAAHAdvising@arts.ufl.edu.
