Admissions: Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies

The Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies at the University of Florida College of the Arts provides graduate students with specialized training in the theory and practice of museum work, curation, and cultural heritage management.

Open to students currently enrolled in a UF graduate degree program, this certificate complements your primary field of study by offering hands-on experience and academic insight into museum administration, collections, exhibitions, and interpretation. Students gain a deeper understanding of the role of museums in society and the professional skills necessary to thrive in the field.

Eligibility and Admission

The Museum Studies Graduate Certificate is available to any student currently pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Florida.

Application Deadlines

  • November 1 – for Spring semester start
  • March 1 – for Fall semester start

Students may contact the program at any time during the academic year to discuss coursework. You may also register for one course before formal admission into the certificate program.
