Creating Healthy Communities: Arts + Public Health in America, a three-year national initiative undertaken from 2018–2020, was designed to accelerate innovation at the intersection of the arts and public health and to support the creation of healthier communities in alignment with national public health goals.

The initiative aimed to expand the intersections of the arts, community development and public health through strategic cross-sector collaboration, discovery, translation and dissemination. It included nine national convenings, a comprehensive research agenda and the development of a wide range of resources to support cross-sector collaboration.
