Admissions: Graduate Certificate in Arts in Medicine
How to apply:
The application contains several sections that you must complete:
- Personal Statement: Tell us why you are interested in this degree, and what your career goals are. This two-page statement should describe (1) your goals and tell us how you envision this program will help you accomplish them, and (2) how you would facilitate or coordinate creative experiences for people in a healthcare and/or community setting to support health. The statement of purpose requested here may be the same as the one submitted with the online application.
- Letters of Recommendation: A section to electronically request THREE (3) required letters of recommendation from faculty or professionals who can speak to your ability to be successful in a graduate program. You will need to allow time for the recommender to receive and respond to the University request, so complete and submit your entire application as quickly as possible. More information and directions are provided as you complete the online application. You may also view the status of your application to check if your letters and transcripts have arrived.
- CV/Resume: A section to upload your most recent resume. Please include any pertinent professional or volunteer experience with the arts, with health, or with arts in health.
- Official Transcripts: The UF Graduate School only needs to review your Bachelor’s degree transcripts to determine admission eligibility. Note: There is also a section to upload unofficial transcripts, which can expedite faculty review.
- Writing Sample: All applicants must submit one piece of long-form writing, such as a research paper, essay, article, report, or proposal. The ideal writing sample has either been graded, published, submitted to an organization, peer-reviewed, or adheres to other professional or academic standards.
- Portfolio: Submit a PDF portfolio of creative and/or professional work. On average, your portfolio should include 5-10 slides or pages showcasing the depth and breadth of your creative work, professional achievements, and/or facilitation skills.
