Stephanie D Silberman

Stephanie Denise Silberman is currently the Strategic Events Manager for the UF College of the Arts and a doctoral student studying contemporary Japanese visual culture in the School of Art + Art History. She dedicated much of her early career to supporting access to high-quality arts programming in Los Angeles, California. She has previously worked at the Harn Museum of Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and Norton Simon Museum of Art. As a small child, she was brought to a local art museum (the Harn Museum of Art) on a school field trip that changed the course of her life. She has over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector of arts education, creative youth development, museum education, marketing and communications, event production, donor management and fundraising. She graduated with a M.A. in Art History from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.A. in Art History from the University of Florida.
She recognizes and acknowledges her presence on the historic territories of the Timucua and how it served as a crossroads for other Native American peoples, such as the Mascogo and Miccosukee of Seminole Tribe, who long inhabited this land.
