Ryan Kolinsky
- School of Art + Art History
Ryan graduated from the University of Florida in the spring of 2022 with her BA in Classical Studies with a minor in Art History. Guided by a childhood of visiting museums around the world and a love for art, history, and culture, she aims to inspire the next generation of museum lovers through exhibitions and education.
Her Project-in-Lieu-of-Thesis explores how online exhibitions can promote unexhibited collections and reach broader audiences. She collaborated with the Matheson History Museum and UF Special & Area Studies Collections to develop an online exhibition showcasing one overarching narrative about the photographic work of Elmer Harvey Bone, a local Gainesville photographer and studio-owner from the mid-twentieth century. The exhibition can be found here: https://go.ufl.edu/ehbone.
She’s worked at the following museums and galleries in their education, exhibitions, collections, and visitor services departments: Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, The Salvador Dali Museum, the Matheson History Museum, UF University Galleries, the Florida Museum of Natural History, and the Orlando Museum of Art.
Ryan will graduate December 2025
