Peter T. Haring

As the Director of Information Technology for the College of the Arts, I strive to provide quality tools, resources, and services for our faculty and staff.  I work closely with my technology team to provide guidance and support, ensuring smooth and secure operation, transfer of institutional knowledge, and interoperability of the underlying services that make IT ‘work’.

As the Information Security Administrator (ISA), I am responsible for supporting the Information Security Management (ISM) efforts and resource needs, resulting in secure computing platforms and services that are compliant with university IT policies.

As a campus IT leader, I am engaged in conversations with senior leadership, which keeps me apprised of campus changes and direction, allows for longer term planning, and provides opportunity for high-level feedback and suggestions. I continue to leverage these conversations, and where appropriate, keep the college engaged as it relates to IT.

     Customer support, College security, Tech team resources, and Tech team management and support

Managed services (short-list):
     Desktop and Customer Support (helpdesk), Device Enterprise Management,
     Asset Management, Space Allocation authorization, E-Mail services, overall IT Security

I have the privilege of working for my colleagues within the college for over a quarter of a century now, and I am proud to be a part of the COTA community. (a.k.a, “My College”).
