Michelle Wilder Rivers

Michelle Wilder Rivers is excited to join the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine. She has a background in higher education, the arts, and community building.
Before joining the team, Michelle worked in recruitment at Santa Fe College, and outreach with the University of Georgia’s Archway Partnership where she collaborated with faculty, staff, and graduate students from schools and colleges across university to complete interdisciplinary and experiential learning projects with community partners across the state.
Before moving into higher education, Michelle managed performing arts programs including work with Asolo Repertory Theatre, Athens-Clarke County Arts Division, City of Richmond Cultural Arts, Alliance Theatre, and more. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, minoring in Communications with a focus in Public Relations at Berry College. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Nonprofit Organizations (MNPO) with a focus in Development and Management concentrating in Recreation and Leisure Studies as well as Public Administration at the University of Georgia.
With a commitment to creating a strong sense of belonging and meaningful community impact, Michelle is currently a volunteer for Take Stock in Children and Florida 4-H.
In this role, Michelle looks forward to collaborating with the team to expand awareness of opportunities for graduate students while highlighting and celebrating the impactful work of faculty, staff, alumni, and current students.
