Krisha Choksi
- Center for Arts in Medicine
My name is Krisha Choksi, and I am currently a 4th-year student at the University of Florida studying Public Health and Psychology, and am also a Combined Master’s student pursuing an MPH in the Social and Behavioral Sciences. I am a part of the UF Honors Program and the College of PHHP (Public Health and Health Professions) Honors Program. Outside of being a research assistant for the UF Center for Arts in Medicine (CAM) Interdisciplinary Lab, I am passionate about mental health, maternal and child health, and addressing health disparities. Some of my public health-related and leadership experiences include being a Signature Programming Director for Students Taking Action Against Racism (STAAR) for two years and planning and hosting various diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) centered events at UF, as well as being a part of the UF-Ghana Virtual Public Health Exchange where we created emergency care resources for medical students at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to bring to local schools in order to address public health barriers and disparities in Accra, Ghana.
