Justin Marlin

Justin Marlin has over 13 years of experience managing student affairs, academic advising, and program administration at the University of Florida. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Student Affairs and Administration at the UF Digital Worlds Institute, where he directs daily student services operations for both undergraduate and graduate programs. In this role, he oversees recruitment, admissions review, student organization management, career counseling, and alumni engagement. He also serves on the institute’s curriculum committee, working to integrate co-curricular pathways and student success standards into the Digital Arts and Sciences curriculum.
At the Digital Worlds Institute, Justin coordinates the annual Convergence event, leading cross-functional teams to organize student exhibitions that connect academic coursework with industry engagement. He builds partnerships with digital arts companies to align curriculum design with industry standards and support post-graduation career placement. Additionally, Justin manages the institute’s marketing and communications, directing digital content creation, web development, and social media campaigns to manage institutional visibility and enrollment growth.
Prior to his current position, Justin spent eight years as the Assistant Director for Student Services & Administration at Digital Worlds, where he contributed to the foundational structure of the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Arts and Sciences (BADAS) curriculum and established student mentoring networks. His earlier experience at UF includes working as a Transfer Admissions Officer and Program Assistant for the Office of Admissions, where he managed regional recruitment and advised prospective transfer students on articulation pathways.
Justin was selected as a UF NACE Career Fellow for the 2025–2026 cohort, collaborating with the UF Career Connections Center and the National Association of Colleges and Employers to integrate national career readiness standards into academic programs. In May 2026, he received the Career Influencer Award from the UF Career Connections Center for his work in student mentorship and professional support. He earned both a Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
