Jason Thrower

Jason Thrower is a first-year organ performance major in combination with an MS in Business Management from Tampa, Florida. He began playing the organ at Jesuit High School in his hometown. He received the Zipoli Organ Scholarship in his Junior and Senior years, playing for school masses, funerals, weddings, and social events, in addition to being in the choir. He was a recipient of the Margaret Smith McAlister Scholarship from the Tampa Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, studying with Lakeland organist Thomas Ingui. Thrower has participated in several Pipe Organ Encounters, visiting organs in Illinois, Colorado, and Wyoming where he took additional lessons with Margaret Woodworth and Todd Wilson. He looks forward to continuing his music journey through Church service and concert recitals.
