Haiqiao Wang

Born and raised in Zhejiang, China, Haiqiao Wang is currently pursuing a Doctor of Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Florida under the mentorship of Dr. Hsiang Tu. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 2022 and her Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the University of Tennessee in 2024, where she studied with Dr. Chih-Long Hu. While at the University of Tennessee, she served as a graduate teaching assistant and piano instructor, played a key role in organizing two Knoxville International Piano Festivals, and was honored with the Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching Award by the UT Graduate Student Senate.
Haiqiao is a dedicated educator and a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Since 2022, she has worked with students of various skill levels through private lessons and class piano instruction. Her teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction, helping students develop structured study plans tailored to their unique abilities and goals. By fostering a supportive learning environment, she strives to inspire her students to cultivate a deep appreciation for music.
As an active collaborative pianist, Haiqiao has served as an accompanist for the cello studio at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music, the UT Concert Band, and numerous solo and studio instrumental recitals at the University of Tennessee.
In addition to her performance and teaching experience, Haiqiao has been recognized in several prestigious competitions, earning awards in the Steinway & Sons International Youth Competition, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Competition, and the Shanghai International Youth Piano Competition.
