Eury Kim
- School of Art + Art History
Eury Kim is an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design and co-runs Oneroom, an art space and graphic design practice. Her path has been shaped by curiosities about the internet and how contemporary art occupies digital space. Eury’s approach to art and design mirrors the perspectives of Mono-ha artists, who observe how materials interact and respond to one another. She aims to build reading initiatives that strengthen community resilience and foster ecological literacy by learning from Mother Nature’s ability to adapt.
Before joining the University of Florida, Eury served as Assistant Professor of Practice at South Dakota State University and Adjunct Assistant Professor at St. John’s University in New York. She considers the Ocean State a meaningful part of her personal history, having spent significant time in Providence, Rhode Island. Eury is a graduate of the MFA Graphic Design program at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she also earned a BFA in Industrial Design.
