- School of Art + Art History
Daniela is a Print Processing Associate in the Special and Area Studies Collections Department at the University of Florida’s Libraries. She holds a B.A. in Art History with a minor in History from Florida International University, where she also worked as a student assistant in Special Collections at the Green Library. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Museum Studies at UF through the Employee Education Program.
Daniela is passionate about the intersections of Libraries, Archives, and Museums, and how these spaces offer powerful ways to connect with our past, reflect on the present, and consider humanity’s shared future through storytelling and outreach/engagement. She recently co-curated an exhibit on the ground floor of Library East entitled Specters, Sandworms, and Zombies: Tim Lawrence’s Legacy in Special Effects.
As co-chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee at UF Libraries, Daniela advocates for making services and collections more accessible and discoverable. By providing multiple access points, more people can interact with library resources, creating better user experiences. She strongly believes in the cumulative impact of accessibility initiatives.
Daniela has also volunteered at Fairchild Botanical Garden in South Florida. In her free time, she enjoys reading, ceramics, gardening, and appreciating nature’s beauty.
