Chyna Miller (she/her) is a public health researcher, practitioner, and visual artist whose work focuses on trauma, resilience, protective factors, and the social and environmental conditions that shape health and well-being. She is a McKnight Doctoral Fellow and PhD student in Public Health at the University of Florida. Her interdisciplinary background spans community-engaged research, nonprofit public health practice, arts in health, and visual arts. Her work has included arts-based community engagement, participatory visual methods, and creative approaches to exploring resilience, identity, place, and well-being. Chyna’s developing research agenda examines how creative engagement and arts-based methods can contribute to understanding and strengthening protective processes and resilience, particularly in the context of adversity.
