April Fitzpatrick (she/her) is an interdisciplinary visual artist, board-certified art therapist, and arts and health practitioner whose work explores identity, memory, mental health, racial healing, and the experiences we carry individually and collectively. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Tougaloo College and an M.S. in Art Therapy from Florida State University. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally. Her practice has also been shaped through residencies and fellowships including Baldwin for the Arts, the Culture of Health Leadership Institute for Racial Healing, Global Arts in Medicine, and the Intercultural Leadership Institute. Across her practice, Fitzpatrick uses art to make the invisible visible, giving form to the histories, experiences, and ways of knowing we carry beneath the surface and expanding ways communities experience wellness.
