A review of "The Mystic Trumpeter" album with Randolph Lee, UF School of Music assistant professor, as trumpet soloist will appear in the May/June American Record Guide as follows:
"...There's also handsome playing from out-of-town trumpeter Randolph Lee. Mr. Maglione's ringing half-hour cantata inspired by Walt Whitman's 'Mystic Trumpeter' makes full use of Mr. Lee's estimable services, as do the Hovhaness 'Prayer of St Gregory' and Ian David Coleman's blending of 'Steal Away' and 'What A Friend We Have in Jesus'."
