Two UF School of Art + Art History faculty members were recently named Global Fellows by the UF International Center. Associate Professor of Photography Craig Smith and Assistant Professor of Drawing and Painting Lisa Iglesias will participate in the Global Fellows program in 2017.
The UF Global Fellows program assists faculty who are pursuing international research. The program aims to promote faculty engagement internationally, and faculty who are chosen to participate in the program receive access to workshops, assistance seeking funding and opportunities to network internationally.
Both Smith and Iglesias will have the opportunity to participate in this prestigious program next year. Smith is no stranger to the international scene and has exhibited and taught across the world in countries, including Australia, India, China, Ireland, Germany and France. Through the Global Fellows program Smith hopes to develop a new series of participatory art projects linked to Malaysian sporting events.
The College of the Arts congratulates both Smith and Iglesias for being named Global Fellows and looks forward to seeing their international accomplishments!
