Congratulations to incoming ceramics MFA student Paige Ward whose work was recently featured in a two-person exhibit, Foundations: New Works in the Patton-Malott Gallery at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado. Sharing a similar aesthetic and subject matter – the house – the exhibit showcased significantly contrasting concepts and inspirations created by Ward and Josh Dannin.
Ward is an artist and sculptor from Frog Jump, Tennessee. She received her B.A. in ceramics from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, in 2010. She currently is on staff in the Department of Art at Union University as a shop technician and as a ceramics instructor at Mudslingers Studio in Huntingdon, Tennessee. Ward has participated in internships at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Anderson Ranch Arts Center. She will begin her MFA studies at the University of Florida in the fall of 2014.
