University AuditoriumThe University of Florida Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. David Waybright, welcomes guest conductor Christian Schulz in a performance of works for wind band from both sides of the Atlantic. Highlights include Mangulina by Paul Basler, professor of horn at University of Florida, Selections from Die Fledermaus conducted by Mr. Schulz and Karel Husa’s powerful Music for Prague 1968. The Wind Symphony also will honor veterans with Gould’s Marches from Symphony for Band, West Point.
PROGRAM: Basler- Mangulina; Gould- Santa Fe Saga; Gould- Marches from Symphony for Band, West Point; Strauss- Selections from Die Fledermaus; Bach- Wachet Auf; Husa- Music for Prague 1968.
