The UF Symphony Orchestra features the University of Florida School of Music in a variety of ways in their first concert of the spring.
UF professor and composer Scott Lee — The Fire Beneath
Composer Soomin Kim* — star/ghost/mouth/sea — winner of the 2023 UF Call for Scores by Women Composers
UF professor and soloist Hsiang Tu — Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat Major, Op. 83
also featuring Saint-Saëns — Danse Macabre
Students from the School of Art will be exhibiting their paintings inspired by Soomin Kim's star/ghost/mouth/sea. Post-concert, the visual art exhibition will move to the UF Music Building where Kim’s music will be accessible by QR code.
