Join us Monday, September 30* for the first UF Symphony Orchestra concert of the season!
*This concert, originally scheduled for Thursday, September 26, has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Helene.
The evening will feature three distinct works from the golden age of French musical history: Berlioz’s Hungarian March from “The Damnation of Faust” with assistant conductor Juan Florez; Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor featuring UF School of Music’s own Steven Thomas, and Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 in C minor, the magnificent “Organ Symphony.” The University Auditorium’s organ will turn 100 years old in 2025!
Monday, September 30, 7:20 pm, University Auditorium, free and open to the public, no tickets required.
There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 pm in the Friends of Music room.
The UF Symphony Orchestra will reprise Saint-Saëns's “Organ Symphony” on Sunday, September 29 at 4 pm at the First Presbyterian Church for a benefit concert. - VenueUniversity Auditorium
