UF SCULPTURE DEPARTMENT, THE INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE CENTER, AND OLIVER HERRING CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE DAY
AN EVENING OF INSTALLATION, PERFORMANCES, AND PARTICIPATORY ART
Public Reception: Friday, April 24th, 5-10PM, WARPhaus
The UF Sculpture Department, in collaboration with the International Sculpture Center (ISC) and artist, Oliver Herring, is staging an interactive public TASK Party event in celebration of International Sculpture Day. Sean Miller, assistant professor in sculpture, and his installation and performance students will be exhibiting performance projects and additionally collaborating with Herring and the ISC to contribute to this multi-venue participatory event. Social media and video feeds will connect the WARPhaus party to Herring, the ISC and the multiple participating universities and TASKing venues. The public is invited to join us by celebrating and generating ephemeral, DIY, TASK-oriented creations. No art experience is necessary to attend, participate, party and TASK. A special thanks to UF Art Education for their organizational TASK support and fine TASKing materials.
