    This Tony Award-winning musical, based on the highly controversial and oft-censored 1891 play by Frank Wedekind, is a raw and honest portrayal of youth and self-discovery. Wendla, Mechior and their friends struggle with an emotional and sexual coming-of-age in defiance of a suppressive world of unjust teachers and adults.
