    ABOUT THE PROM

When four self-obsessed Broadway stars hear that Emma, a student in a small, conservative Indiana town, is barred from bringing her girlfriend to their high school prom and that the media is involved—they seize the opportunity to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. In their bumbling attempts to enact change, they make the situation worse than they could have imagined. Cultures clash and the town erupts in chaos, leaving Emma’s future and the actors’ careers hanging in the balance. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, The Prom captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever.
