    EVENT DETAILS

    We are excited to introduce Spotlight on Cabaret: a benefit to support the School of Theatre + Dance, Saturday, October 22. This new event to replace Splendor will offer a pre-show reception to exclusively meet the director and performers, enjoy refreshments and libations, preferential seating, and the excitement of the live musical production of Cabaret! We are offering year-round opportunities to support the School of Theatre + Dance and are shifting to “Season Sponsors,” wherein you will be listed as a sponsor in the program the entireacademic season! Program ads will also be featured in the program all season. Funds raised offer crucial support to SOTD students in the form of scholarships, equipment needs, masterclasses, and professional development. 

    EVENING AGENDA

    5:00PM - Check-in, drinks & appetizers
    5:30PM - A conversation with Andrew Cao, director of Cabaret and Dr. Peter Carpenter, director of the School of Theatre + Dance
    6:15PM - Socialize, drinks & appetizers
    7:10PM - Seating begins
    7:30PM - Cabaret!

    PARKING INFORMATION

    Please be aware that some areas on the UF campus are under construction. Click here for a map for parking on campus with suggested lots and garages close to the School of Theatre + Dance, all of which are about a 5-minute walk. 

    PURPOSE OF SPOTLIGHT ON CABARET 

    This new benefit is an important opportunity for supporters, alumni, and friends to come together to witness the profound talent of our students and support the UF School of Theatre + Dance. Funds raised offer crucial support to the students in the form of scholarships, equipment needs, masterclasses, and professional development and equip faculty with the necessary resources to be agile and respond to immediate needs. Spotlight on Cabaret is the perfect opportunity to enjoy top-notch theatre while connecting with others who believe in the power of philanthropy to uplift and amplify the next generation of artists. 

    TICKET LEVELS

    $150 Event Ticket; $250 VIP Ticket; $500 Cabaret On-Stage
    All tickets include pre-show reception starting at 5pm, Q&A with director, and prioritized seating.
