University Galleries at the University of Florida (UF) is pleased to present Lights, Camera, Cuba! Selections from the Efraín Barradas Mexican & Cuban Film Poster Collection in University Gallery and the Gary R. Libby Gallery, January 5 through February 10, 2017. There will be an opening reception on January 5 from 5:30-7:30 pm in University Gallery. This show will feature selections of authentic and reproduction vintage movie posters from the Efraín Barradas Mexican and Cuban Film Poster Collection at the University of Florida Smathers Libraries.
UF President Kent Fuchs will make the opening remarks at 6:15 p.m. in the University Gallery.
The opening reception of Lights, Camera, Cuba! will also serve as the kickoff for Bulla Cubana!, a community-wide celebration of arts and culture to promote the exchange of ideas and inspiration between Cuba and the North Central Florida region.

Gary R. Libby Gallery is an 850-square-foot space that presents monthly exhibitions of student-curated exhibitions featuring student and alumni artworks. The Gary R. Libby Gallery is located adjacent to the lobby of the School of Art + Art History’s Fine Arts C. The gallery is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and is closed weekends and holidays.
Daytime parking is available in reserved spaces between Fine Arts Building C (FAC) and Inner Road. From SW 13th Street, enter campus on Museum Drive. Turn right on Newell Drive, then right on Inner Road. Turn left into the parking lot behind FAC. The first three spaces on the left are reserved for gallery use. Parking permits are issued to gallery visitors in the University Gallery.
