David Zayas
Zayas obtained a Bachelor’s in Painting from Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico in 2003. He is currently a professor at Universidad Metropolitana in San Juan, where he teaches the only Urban Art course offered in Puerto Rico. In recent years he has participated in several art festivals such as Santurce and Los Muros Hablan. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, both individually and collectively, such De Barrio Obrero a La 15, Museo de las Américas in San Juan, and ANIMALIA, at the Museo de Arte de Caguas in Puerto Rico. His work depicts his vision of what is happening around him, most of the time characterized through the personification of animals.
