Macbeth, the Thane of Glamis, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that he will one day become the King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his cunning and venomous wife, Macbeth ruthlessly murders the current king and takes the throne for himself. In this cautionary tale of a lust for power and unchecked ambition, we follow a war hero’s rise and fall from greatness.
