Kenya (Robinson) is a past resident of LMCC’sWorkSpace Program, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture and The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. Her work has been exhibited at MoCADA, BAM and the 60 Wall Street Gallery of Deutsche Bank. Along with features in the New York Times, BombLog and The International Review of African American Art, she has performed at Rush Arts Gallery, MoMA PS1, The Kitchen, and MoMA (NYC). Commemorative Headdress of Her Journey Beyond Heaven was acquired for the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture in 2014. A contributor to The Huffington Post, she earned her MFA from the School of Art at Yale University.
Kenya (Robinson)'s talk is organized by the Visiting Artist and Scholars Program and made possible by the Marston Fund, the Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere, and The Samuel Proctor Oral History Program.
