Andrew Sallee is a low brass performer and educator based in Southern Indiana. He earned his Bachelor’s in Euphonium Performance at the University of South Florida (’18) and his Master’s in Euphonium Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (’20), where he is currently working on his DMA. His primary instructors include Demondrae Thurman, Joseph Alvarez, and Jay Hunsberger. He has performed in a wide variety of musical settings including wind bands, big bands, polka bands, various chamber ensembles, and he spent time gigging with a jazz combo throughout Florida. He has performed as a guest artist at events including the Midwest and Southeast Regional Tuba/Euphonium Conferences, the South Florida Tuba/Euphonium Festival, and the Tampa Bay Trombone Festival. Andrew was a recent finalist in the brass division of the Indiana University Concerto Competition. As an educator, his students have been accepted into regional honor bands, college music programs, and have received top marks in Solo and Ensemble events at the local and state levels.
