Each year, tens of thousands of gamers have joined together to save the lives of local kids in a celebration of gaming culture that we call Extra Life. This year, BADAS Society will be hosting the event on November 4 at the Digital Worlds Institute.

The proceeds from Extra Life stay where they're raised to support children's hospitals, specifically UF Health Shands Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network. Since 2008, the incredible players who have participated nationally have raised more than $30 million dollars, $9 million of which was raised in 2016 alone!

Join us as we play 24 hours of video games for a cause. BADAS Society president Ines Acosta said about Extra Life, "It's always a really fun event because it shows the value of the community. Last year when I came in for the first time I was surprised at how social everyone was and how for the full 24 hours, everyone just tried to have as much fun as possible.  It's a celebration of our community and what we do. The best part about it is that we get to raise money for Shands. I love the Children's Miracle Network because you get to see how your money is helping people in need. This year, our goal is $2,000, of which we've already raised about $700. We're super excited to be partnering with Charity Nerds for this and see how we'll be able to surpass our own expectations."
