Open to all UF Students, Creative Gator at the Harn Museum of Art will create an inclusive and welcoming space with artmaking, mindfulness and movement workshops, demonstrations and tours. Students will get to know their local art museum through an interactive daytime program featuring exhibitions, local artists and performers, and a variety of activities.
Scheduled Events:
11:15am - 12:15pm: Movement Practice and Self-Mapping with Melissa Montilla, UF School of Theatre and Dance, E-RYT (Experienced Yoga Teacher)
12:30pm - 1:10pm: The Tranquility of Tea – Traditional Japanese Tea with Mr. Akihiko Kaji, Associate Professor of Urasenke Way of Tea (Session 1)
1:45pm - 2:45pm: Sound Meditation with Kim Holton, Ph.D., Associate Director for UF Mindfulness and Asst. Instructional Professor in the Department of Health Education and Behavior
2:00pm - 2:40pm: The Tranquility of Tea – Traditional Japanese Tea with Mr. Akihiko Kaji, Associate Professor of Urasenke Way of Tea (Session 2)
PLUS: Art Blast Tours, a Makerspace, Pop-Up Screenprinting, Free Food and more!
