Join us for the third annual Cadenza, a benefit to support the UF School of Music, on Saturday, March 1. This unforgettable event begins with a pre-show reception with live music, a silent auction, and opportunities to connect with School of Music faculty, students, and fellow supporters. You’ll then experience a concert featuring performances from a diverse program of chamber ensembles, and end the evening over dessert and coffee with the performers. Cadenza is the perfect opportunity to enjoy top-notch music while connecting with others who believe in the power of philanthropy to uplift and amplify the next generation of artists.

There will be no physical tickets. Instead, your name will be on a guest list at check-in.

EVENING AGENDA

6:00 Reception begins, School of Music Building Atrium 

Doors open at 6. Includes drinks + heavy appetizers, silent auction, photo ops, and special music experience for sponsors & VIP ticketholders. 

7:30 Cadenza performance, School of Music Building Room 101 

Concert will be approximately 90 minutes, including a brief intermission. Bidding for the silent auction closes at the end of intermission. 

Featuring performances from a diverse group of chamber ensembles, including: Brass Quintet, Reed Quintet, Piano/String Quartet, Flute Studio Choir, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Opera Theatre, mUndo Flamenco/Guitar Ensemble, Sunshine Steelers Steel Drum Ensemble 

9:00 Post-show dessert & coffee hour, School of Music Building Atrium 

Following the Cadenza performance, mingle with student performers and faculty over desserts & coffee. Silent auction winners will be notified after the concert, and will pick up and pay for their items during the post-show reception.  

10:00 Event concludes 

SUGGESTED DRESS

Festive/cocktail attire. Note that the pre-concert reception will take place in a covered space that is not climate controlled. We suggest you dress accordingly (think layers!). The venue where performances will take place is fully climate-controlled.
