The UF School of Art + Art History is opening its doors once again to host the most open house of all houses: Art Bash on Friday, Feb. 9 from 6 – 9 p.m.
Art Bash, the annual celebration of art at the University of Florida, offers the chance for the UF and Gainesville communities to view and interact with a dazzling variety of projects by School of Art + Art History students.
Featuring pop-up shops, live art making, exhibitions, music and prizes, the event will take place in the UF Fine Arts Complex located at 400 SW 13th St., Gainesville, FL 32611.
This year’s event will feature internationally recognized designers Jason Murphy and Bryony Gomez-Palacio and live music with Michael Claytor and Jordan Burchel with Sam Moss. Exhibitions from the Harn Museum of Art, P.K. Yonge and Oak Hall High School will be on display in addition to the annual UF Student Juried Exhibition.
Attendees will be able to visit studios and find activities in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, printmaking, creative photography, art + technology, art history, art education, museum studies, and visual arts studies.
Events include:
- Ligature 27 graphic design exhibition and lectures featuring internationally recognized designers Jason Murphy and Bryony Gomez-Palacio (in partnership with AIGA Gainesville)
- Live music with Michael Claytor and Jordan Burchel with Sam Moss

- Raffles & prizes from Blaze Pizza, World of Beer & more
