Apocalyptic Worlds is a collaborative drawing assignment developed in Art 3111 Thematic Drawing. The class began by reading and discussing the opening chapters of Aldus Huxley’s Brave New World, a dystopian novel that explores behavior conditioning and new reproductive technologies that effect sweeping changes in society. In groups of three or four, students were tasked with developing a world that they could then affect with a catastrophic event.
