18th Annual Arts in Medicine Summer Intensive at the University of Florida: May 6-10 & May 13-17, 2019
The Center for Arts in Medicine is pleased to announce that registration for the 18th Annual Arts in Medicine Summer Intensive is now open! The Arts in Medicine Intensive is designed to meet the needs of students and professionals at all levels of experience who are interested in using the arts to enhance health and wellbeing. The program includes two weeks of on-site programming at the University of Florida. Participants may attend for either one week or both weeks. The first week will cover arts in health practice and the second week will cover arts in health program planning and administration. Program Highlights
The Arts in Medicine Intensive is a comprehensive training program for artists, health professionals, administrators, students, educators, and others who wish to explore the roles of the arts in healthcare and community health contexts. This program is organized across two topic-specific weeks: practice and administration.
What to Expect
Participants can expect an engaging and highly experiential dive into the field of arts in health. Expect days filled with creative engagement, embodied learning, hands-on skill building, and meaningful dialogue. Participants will leave with a deeper knowledge of the field and an array of resources for developing or advancing careers that engage the arts in healthcare and community settings. Expect also to create a lasting network of peers from around the world who share your passion for using the arts to enhance health and wellbeing.
Program Fees
- Single week: $1,325 for professionals; $875 for students
- Choose either Practice (Week 1) or Program Planning & Admin (Week 2)
- Two weeks: $1,625 for professionals; $1,175 for students
- An early registration discount of 10% is available for those who register on or before April 1, 2019
- Scholarships applications are due March 4, 2019
