Join us Friday, January 17, 2025, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the first opening reception of the spring semester at 4Most Gallery.

Exhibition Title: “Where I Go, The Mountain Goes”

Artist: Elmira Yousefi, 3rd year MFA in Art (Printmaking) Candidate

Artist Statement: “‘Where I Go, the Mountain Goes’ represents my relationship with the mountains surrounding my homeland of Tehran. These mountains, despite their familiarity, represent displacement. In this context, displacement means moving an object or its memory from one place to another. When an object is relocated to a space where it originally does not belong, its presence transforms the meaning. Mountains in my work become metaphors for belonging and home. The show reflects my efforts to reconstruct a sense of home in the face of absence by transforming the immovable into something portable and present” (Yousefi, 2025).

Refreshments will be provided at the opening reception. This exhibition will be open for viewing through January 27, 2024.
