“Contamination” serves as a leak through which the past, present, and future combine. Through human-made and “natural” objects, live performance, poems, and material remnants, this exhibition explores the body as a site of personal and environmental contamination.
Contamination blurs the boundaries between human and environment and questions the permeability of each. What do we let in/out of our bodies and the environment? Is there an interchange between what leaches into both? Can contamination become a kind of transformation?
This exhibition will be open for viewing through Friday, October 31.
