Chaz Underriner: Pieces for Guitar, Video, and Electronics 2018-25

Experience the dreamlike world of Chaz Underriner’s works for guitar, video, and electronics, tracing the evolution of his multimedia practice over the past decade. From early pieces combining imagery from Japan and Florida, to mid-period works inspired by Josef Albers’ The Interaction of Color, to his most recent meditations on pattern through line drawings and sound, Underriner’s art creates a space for contemplation. Joining him for this performance are clarinetist Jessica Speak and saxophonist Tim Rosenberg. An Associate Professor of Digital Arts at Stetson University, Underriner integrates guitar, electroacoustic composition, and video into a distinctive aesthetic that blurs boundaries between sound and image.
