Juan Griego is an interdisciplinary new media artist born and raised in Hialeah, Fl to Cuban exiles. He generates artwork through hands on research in contemporary western metaphysics with instruction from post-continental philosophers such as Francoise Laruelle and Gregory Ulmer. He believes in electracy as the engine that artists will fine-tune for the sake of global well-being.
Juan holds a BFA in Installation and Performance Art from F.I.U and an MFA in Art & Technology through a fellowship from U.F. Juan currently teaches Digital Fabrication in the Art & Technology department at U.F, conducts museum vitrine workshops through the U.S embassy in Peru and is the current resident artist/gallery coordinator for the 4Most Gallery.
